Dilated pupils on sertraline

Hello this is my second day of starting sertraline and I have been prescribed 50mgs once a day. I have taken the correct dosage and exactly 24hrs apart and already feel a difference. I almost feel strange and dizzy in a blur and have to lay down at times.

I’ve noticed my pupils are very big and it’s scary... is this something that will settle down in time?

Just wanted to check whether anyone else got this on the medication and if it’s normal?

Serotonin affects many processes in the body. It's going to take some time for your body to adjust to the increase so things may get a little worse before you start feeling well. Serotonin affects sleep, digestion, bowel motility, sexual function, mood, etc. Your body needs some time to adjust and some strange things might happen at first. I wish you the best!🙏

Hi notebook30 sorry to here your side affects. I too are on them and I had the same but it does all settle down after a while taking them. They help me tremendously they really do. Hope they settle soon💐

Thank you so much! When did you start to feel better? I’ve had burning sensations in my feet and throughout my body at times it’s so scary :(

I think it was around 3 to 4 weeks. Maybe talk to your doctor may be a good thing or your pharmacy 💐

Hey there, I’ve been on Zoloft for a long time, and it’s been amazing for me. I didn’t get the dilated pupils thing, but I did have some mild side effects at the start—mostly dizziness and a bit of an upset stomach. But they passed pretty quickly, and everything leveled out.

What you’re feeling—feeling weird, a little out of it, needing to lie down—sounds pretty normal for the first few days. Your body's adjusting, and it can take a bit to settle. The pupil thing might be part of that, but if it’s really freaking you out or getting worse, it’s always good to check in with your doctor, just to be safe.

Also, make sure you're using high-quality Zoloft (sertraline)—it really makes a difference in how effective and tolerable it is. I always order mine from this trusted pharmacy: gowebcure.com/order-zoloft-uk, and I get excellent results!

Hang in there! The beginning can be a bit rough, but if it works for you like it did for me, it’s so worth it. 💛
