Will things ever be ok again?

Will things ever be ok again? I'm scared that society will collapse but I don't think it will.

This is a question that no one really knows right now, and even if they did, I wouldn't trust them, so their opinions would mean nothing. I'm worried too, but I'm trying to put some trust in something other than what we can see. No one person here has all the answers, that is one thing we all have in common. But I'm trying to remain optimistic, it sure beats the alternative.

Human beings are the most resourceful, adaptable and creative creatures in the world. That is why we have thrived and survived through wars, pestilence and natural disasters in the past.

Businesses may come and go but as one closes someone with new ideas takes their place.

Germany was in ruins in 1945, its population decimated by bombing but within 10 years they had created what was called the Economic Miracle.

The country is run not by clowning politicians but by the hard working experts of the civil service, God bless 'em.

So don't worry about society collapsing. Everyone claims that's going to happen but it never does. That's because "every adversity brings with it the seed of a greater benefit".

We may have a lot of problems to sort but the collapse of society isn't one of them.

Well one day in the far future that might happen, but it certainly won't over corona. Mankind has lived through far worse than this with smallpox epidemics, the plague etc. What society does is evolve instead.

For example there were certainly no personal computers and mobile phones when I was your age. My first tape recorder had reels of tape and we played vinyl. There were no cassette players and the idea of CD's hadn't occurred to anyone.

So relax and enjoy the society you are in.
