Fibromyalgia and Weather Changes.

Does anybody else have fibromyalgia and notice that it flairs up in different weather conditions? About this time last year I had a flair up, and here it is again. I just want to get this figured out so I know what's causes it, what I can expect, and what I can do to help it. Thanks.

Yep, I'm highly sensitive to the cold as well as damp, cold rainy days; some people also have problems with heat & humidity but that's not the case with me. Your body automatically tenses up when you're hurting which only makes things worse. I live in GA & have to wear long johns when it's in the 50's & even 60's depending on what's going on outside. I try to eat very little white carbs & sugar as that increases body inflammation, & although fibromyalgia is not inflammation, white carbs & sugar can affect your body which increases flares; I have ankylosing spondylitis & lots of athritis too. Diet plays a big roll in how you feel overall & you can research healthy foods to avoid in relation to fibro online. Good luck.
