So, I'm new here to this website but I'm definitely not new to anxiety and depression. I'm not really looking to rehash my problems, as there are a myriad of them and I assume we all know why we are here at this specific forum and I'm not searching for a sympathetic ear. I am a socially phobic introvert and find meeting people face to face and carrying on conversations extremely taxing and difficult but I miss human connection and just really want to find people to talk to that aren't completely fixated on their specific mental illnesses.
I believe that mental illness is a human enhancer that really sucks to have but alternatively gives people more depth. Thanks to my depression, anxiety, inattentive ADD, addiction (once an addict, always an addict, whether you've quit or not), being a past victim, current parent, and all the other events I've endured and the broken brain I live with I have become a much more interesting person than I would have without them.
So it is nerve wrackingly nice to meet you all and I hope I can finally find an online place to belong

Welcome. I think you can find what you are looking for here.
I can understand and can identify with you. I am getting more used to being in while the virus continues. As I get older, sometimes I have had to force myself to go out and get things done. I’m a bit afraid I will be a recluse some day.
