It’s back

Anxiety is back and I can’t sleep. Started taking my anxiety medicine again and it barely helps. It comes at night so I don’t sleep. And with no real alarm for work or school, I sleep in some and it makes it worse.

Have you tried something more natural to help you sleep like a diffuser? I also know some people who listen to audiobook (if you’re able to fall asleep with noise) and that way if something’s going to be in the background of your mind it’s the words of a story and not your own anxious thoughts. Waking up when you don’t necessarily need to can be very hard and something I’ve been really trying to do because I notice that the morning sets the mood for your entire day.

If I were you I would not only set a goal to be up at a certain time, but put your phone or alarm far enough away to where you have to get out of bed and walk to get it. I know that I am never fully awake until I have both feet on the floor. After that get into a routine of cooking breakfast, doing quiet time, working out, etc I promise if you can get into some habit like that it can really help. When you just feel like going back to bed remember that you are doing this for yourself to improve. I hope this helps, I know it only addresses a little bit of what you’ve been going through but I believe in you!

I know what you mean. I have been falling asleep and then waking up in the middle of the night. After that, I am up the rest of the night tossing and turning. Last night was bad. I went to bed at 10. Woke-up at 3 am and could not sleep. Tossed and turned! I tried listening to books online. I am so tired. I have to start work in a few mins and get breakfast ready for my kids. I hate insomnia.

Hi there, I'm so sorry you are having a hard time with anxiety! Some things that have helped many are the following: Taking magnesium calms the mind body and spirit and we need it daily, sometimes extra in stress periods. Also, ginseng is great to get rid of sticky negative thoughts that loop. Getting out in sun gives us the vit. D to enhance our mood. Also, helping others takes our mind off our own problems and shrinks them. Hoping this helps you too! =) Blessings to you! <3
