Anyone out there sufferering with pms or pmdd and hormones

Hi I have posted a lot on here

But need some kind reassurance if can

48 yrs old not sure if peri menopause or anxiety

I am finding that a week before my monthly cycle I become very unwell

Ibs or acid reflux

Dizziness

Severe anxiety

Palps

Sleep pattern out of wack

Very heavy flow and loss of apetite and soo scared

Asked gp in past if I could have a test for hormones but was told no point as they change regular throughout the month

At my wits end

Been offered various ads but not taken as always suffered with anxiety and recently came off ads due to not working nor helping

Could this be anxiety

Hormones peri menopause

Any advice or anyone in similar situation

Xxx

You’re probably not going to like my answer, but I think it’s a combination of your body still trying to adjust being off your meds you stopped a couple of months ago, that causes hormone imbalancing and neurotransmitter and receptor inbalances through all your systems (brain, CNS) then you include peri menopause, added anxiety, etc It takes quite a while for the body to get back in balance after stopping meds, or at least it did me.

I had a perfect storm brewing when I stopped my antidepressant going through peri menopause (started peri around 43, I’m now 52) and should be post menopausal if break through bleeding stops for another 6 months (fingers crossed) I’m on no meds meds as of January 2019. I’m in good shape now, my sleep is still broken but manageable.

This is just something that happened to me, I severely feel for the struggles. They are real and frustrating to find a cause or reason for what is happening and how to fix it. I hope it gets better for you. 🌺💜

Meds are out of your system, but it takes the body time to restore balance. Again I know this what happened to me, I did numerous doctor visits, blood tests, wound up in ER twice with severe dizziness Out of balance so bad I had to hold onto walls, it was terrible. I went through a lot for 6+ months then things started stabilizing each month thereafter.. I still have severe menopause symptoms but HRT isn’t something I am willing to do due to cancer risk.

My advice is You should exhaust all avenues available to you and what makes since based on your doctors advice. I do wish you relief soon.

Hrt is very scary indeed

Heard lots of story’s

I guess everyone is different and reacts differently

But I cannot go through this till menopause

It’s awful

Definitely going to try see a nurse or specialist when all this virus stuff has ended x

you can look into bio-identical hormones, these may be a safer option. With my insomnia and I also have medication anxiety now after going through coming off, going on, coming off meds so much Id rather let nature take it course. I’ve held on this long. Lol 😂

We make choices, for you sticking with your doctors advice is a great choice. You always have the option to change things if they prove not working or make things worse. Best of luck. 💜🌺

Why can’t their be a simple tablet just to make all this go away x

I know I do wish there was a magic pill to make my hot flashes stop and the sleep disturbances I get having one in the middle of the night. 😁😁

I live in a state that is anti benzo. I couldn’t get diazepam here even if spent 100 dollars a tablet. 😁😁

Aww that’s so bad

They should help people

It’s soo wrong

A lot of people have mentioned fluxetine (prozac) as the answer but know this med is very activating and not good if ur in high state of anxiety to begin with

Doctors here do push antidepressants for hormone symptom relief, seroquel for sleep issues, etc. I’m not doing another med like that, withdrawal is hell, I still think my brains chemistry is messed up for life, I’m not getting younger, the body declines, I don’t need more of that and the side effects that come with it. 😁😁😁

I’m dieting well and exercising now, I cant turn back time but it helps immensely for me.

My friend took that for his severe anxiety plus a benzo on top it actually cured him but saying that he is a male and luckily escaped the hormonal route

Men have no idea how good they’ve got it.

I think I’m being punished most days for something I have no idea what I may have done. It’s the only way I can keep my humor about it. 🤣🤣🤣

I have diazapam

Which sometimes help

Yes have read up on the personalised hormone treatment but I think it’s private as well known famous ladies take it and swear by it

But don’t think they do this on nhs

Sad as people are sufferering and shouldn’t be just for well off people

Lol
