I’m terrified of this virus I woke up feeling like I couldn’t get enough air into my lungs and now I feel scared I might have it. What scares me too is the fact I have chest pains everyday whether it’s from anxiety or chostocondritis. I’m looking for people to tell me I’ll be okay and change my negative way of thinking but it doesn’t also help that I have health anxiety

CoronaVirus worrying pt.2
Hi Anthony, looking at your past posts, it doesn't sound any different that
"good ole anxiety" doing a number on you when you are in a vulnerable state.
Costochondritis can and does cause chest pain from the inflammation between
the ribs (nerve endings). Using heat on your upper back and listing to a relaxation
video on YouTube, can do much in calming your mental state.
As for the feeling that you can't get enough air into your lungs, know that it is not
your lungs that are tight but your chest wall cavity. The diaphragm also gets tight
from the way we hold ourselves when stressed. This is what is causing that sensation
of not being able to expand your chest for that breath. Not your lungs, not your heart.
It's going to be better once you relax some. Also Anthony, try sitting in a comfortable
chair, pillow behind the small of your back and watch tv or read a book. Sip on a warm
cup of something which will help relax your stomach muscles. Breathe my friend xx
What are you doing to protect yourself from COVID19? If you are protecting yourself, you will be fine. Behave as if you and the people around you are carriers.
I don't know much about chostocondritis. Is it autoimmune? What causes your inflammation? Have you been receiving treatment?
I would start with something simple. You are worth every bit of effort. Do you have a favorite movie or song? Start each day with saying your favorite line out loud. Stretch before even leaving bed. Go to your happy place in your head and then tackle the day.
My happy place is sitting on our boat when the lake is calm. A swan or duck swims up looking for hand outs. A duck's quack makes me laugh because it sounds like he is laughing. I might swim. I will nap.
Peace. Good luck.
