Fight or flight

Anxiety seems to be a stress response deep within us linked to our Fight or Flight reaction. So if you're faced with a bear apart from being frozen on the spot you can fight it or run away, great if you're a caveman. My problem is that the things I should fight I run away from (my phobia's), and the things I'd get in there and fight given the chance (abusers/ bullies etc) I'm not allowed to. So no wonder my stress response is mucked up, I'm ........ either way, hence the extreme anxiety sometimes. Maybe a boxing bag might help cause this pressure cooker needs to vent (sorry late at night, best analogy I could find). You know that feeling when you work with someone or know someone who has a way of really annoying you and you really want to say what you think but for so many reasons can't, so instead all these thoughts go through your head about what you'd like to say and in your head you are saying it but in reality you have to be diplomatic and you say the 'right' words to them. Well over time that's going to make you unwell. have no answers here just thinking out loud. Hey ho !!!!

I definitely understand where you are coming from and I hear you. It is definitely hard and even more frustrating when you struggle to get the emotions out, let alone in the right times.

Have you considered journaling? I laughed when I first heard of the idea but whether you write three for three minutes at the end of everyday- just letting everything( or anything ), or writing a letter (that you will probably never send) to a specific someone with your honest feelings really can help get all the anxiety off your chest.

Regardless I hope tomorrow treats you better than today! Lots of love <3
