Can anyone answer this? What is the difference from bipolar or bipolar 2?

I’m no medical expert, but I believe the difference is bipolar 2 is less severe, and sometimes harder to diagnose. I think sometimes people with bipolar 2 just get diagnosed with depression and anxiety, when that’s not it.

I am not an expert either, but from what I have learned about the differences in bipolar... Bipolar 1 is goings through a bout of deep depression for more than two weeks, then experiences a state of mania (in need of hospitalization) that can last at least a week, but can last 3 to 6 months. There can also be states of depression and mania occuring at the same time. Bipolar 2 also has similar depression episodes, however it is paired with hypomanic episodes, which are not as intense as regular manic episodes that last atleast 4 days. Ive been learning some information about these topics. I have always heard it helps to educate yourself by looking at websites, such as American Psychological Association, or reading books and such to understand yourself and your circumstances better to learn how to deal and help yourself.
