I am so sick of people who run around judging me because I don’t smile and I’m not happy.. They don’t seem to realize that I WANT to be happy and I WANT to smile but I just don’t feel it.. maybe I am a pessimistic person .. idk but I’m tired of feeling put down because I don’t act they way THEY think I should !

I remember when I first realized that other people preferred to be around positive, happy people. That wasn't who I was. And it made me mad they didn't want to be around me. Well, I didn't want to be around me either. I was miserable. I was depressed and sad and anxious.

I finally found a few friends who could see past the depression and anxiety but the rest of the time I either had to understand others reluctance to be in my company or learn how to fake it for short periods of time. If I wanted to bring anything to the table other than gloom and doom, I had to practice smiling and asking people how they were and not talking about myself.

I hate small talk. But I learned how to do it for short periods of time. Otherwise I was more lonely and depressed than normal.

It is still difficult to socialize, but I do it for myself not because other people think I should. If any of that makes any sense.

Yeah. I hate it too. People telling me to do this and to that. What do they know about me. They don't know what I am going through anyway. Sometimes I just pretend I don't hear these people cause they don't know anything.

The most important thing here is not what others say or how others expect you to act, the most important thing is if you feel good about yourself, if not, then you must work on yourself to be the best version of you that you can be ... if you feel good then what others think is worth nothing. That's why I say that I know Manu people but have few friends, friends must accept you as you are and you accept them as they are, if the people you call friends only judge you and do not make you feel comfortable you don't need them around you, have people like that in our lives it is elective and they don't have to be if they don't contribute anything good. Worry about you and take care of you which is the most important thing, at the end of the day if you don't do it who will do it ??
