Had a weird scare today.
My heart was feeling weird, as if it was getting weaker. I felt really tired and could not concentrate much. All interactions at work felt exhausting. It was like that feeling you get in early mornings when you have had bad sleep and heart is racing like an engine on gas fumes, gasping for air.
Drank my coffee, even smoked cigarettes in attempt to get some energy. Ate some rice, meat (overall nice heavy meal), vitamins.
Nothing helped, I felt almost depressive without depressive thoughts. It was more frustration that I really need few more hours of effort and I could be done with all my duties for this year.
Tried eating sweets to get my glucose levels up. Nothing really helped. I started thinking this may be diabetes, as I am in a risk group (despite being fit myself, my relatives have it, so there's genetic vulnerability).
So
I thought that I maybe have not drunk much liquids today - something like 2 cups of coffee and a 2 cups of tea in last 16 hours (incl. nighttime sleep). Gulped down more than a couple of glasses of water (nearly a full liter in last hour).
In just few minutes felt really really good.
Note and lesson - THINGS YOU EAT AND DRINK HAVE MAJOR IMPACT ON YOUR MENTAL WELL-BEING.
So try to keep your diet clean, lots of protein (yes, nom nom on those tasty forest critters), vitamins, your sugars low and your liquids up
~~~And merry Christmas and happy New-Year!~~~
