My last day as a in person school teacher is Thursday. I resigned due to PTSD, anxiety, depression, and dissociation. I didn’t resign for the longest time even though I kept being told by people including my psychiatrist that I should because it was what I needed for my health. Finally I did, since my problems were getting worse. I’m having so much anxiety about leaving. I’m extremely worried about my students. I can’t stop thinking about them. I’m switching to online teaching, which I am happy about.

Please do Not worry about your students, they are young and resilient, worry will only bring you down and add to your depression. I learnt years ago Not to worry about anything, it is so freeing. Do you go to therapy? A good therapist will help you sort out the problems with your incorrect thinking. You say you see a psychiatrist, does he prescribe medicine, are you on one that helps you, I have had to change medicine when it does not help. Be kind to yourself, get plenty of rest, eat healthy and get good sleep, these are all healers. Go for walks if you can, get out in the fresh air, like in a park where you will be in contact with nature. I wish you well, believe in yourself, love yourself, be kind to yourself, no using put downs or calling yourself names. Sending love, courage, strength, and big hugs.......Sprinkle 1......
