Jobs that work well with anxiety

I'm in a rut now, I have been job hopping for about 3 years now and I haven't stayed at a job for more than a year because my anxiety gets in the way. I feel like I will never get a job! My anxiety always gets the best of me while at work and I find myself running out and never coming back. What kind of jobs could I do that is not so stressful where i wouldn't leave. I just want a job so I can start making money! Really stressed out. Helppp

If you are a young person, you are in a better driver's seat. Have you tried a voc rehab?

Kaylalaondo, I can tell you with utmost conviction, that I go through the exact same thing. I dread the interview question: "tell me how you resolved a problem" because I hardly resolve anything. I just quit because it feels like such an easy way to make all the anxiety go away.

The worst part is.. employers don't care. people don't care. they don't need your problems, they need someone to work. people don't understand and It's hard to speak out about it for those reasons.

I'm going to check out that voc rehab as well. Best wishes.

Being a checkout operator in supermarket. Or stack the shelves. Is the best advice I could give when dealing with anxiety it will help you to meet new people and to interact with customers of all ages. The pay is good and you get a uniform. The time goes quick as you are always busy which helps to take your mind off how you are feeling it would be tough at first as in any job but as time goes on it will get easier for you.

Hi, I was a teacher and I always wanted to be a teacher but like you my anxiety and OCD kept me from doing my job for long. I taught for about 3 years and then I stopped. I now have my own in-home childcare. Being in my "safe" place which is my home according to my therapist I am able to monitor my anxiety and OCD. I don't have a boss per say and I can plan my week and feel comfortable knowing my day is a routine within my own environment. So long story short if you can find an online job, a job that you can do from home, maybe a delivery job where you spend most of your time in your car, pet sitting or another job where you are working but spending most of your time by yourself might help. I once fainted on my first day at a job because my anxiety got so high. I hope you find something that works for you.

Hey, I am old, and have gone through that. If it's the social aspects or the job itself- only you can determine that. A lot of people go through it especially if you do not know the people- just like anywhere else.

Hey I'm not sure where u are located but here in Jersey there are tons of warehouse jobs like Amazon for instance...that's where I started off back working after I quit my job at a call center due to stress and anxiety. U basically go to work do what u gotta do at your station (pack boxes, scan items) and leave. And plus u meet alot of ppl during lunch I sometimes would sit in the break room and talk to my co-workers or sometimes I would go outside for some alone time. Its really the best of both worlds. Hope this helps

Hello there. I have anxiety too. That's bad.

I have been working as an Search Engine Evaluator for 5 months. It is actually a long-term project, in which you'll review online web pages, videos, images and asses if there is any violation in them. Also, you'll evaluate the relevence of search results for Google search engine. All you need is a computer with good Internet connection because most of tasks are asked to submit no more than 1 minute. And if you're new, you have to do the test (online) first. Everymonth, there is blind test too. The point of the test is to check your assessment is good or not, so do it carefully because many failed and lost access to the job.
