Contact your Doctor and explain why you are getting in a panic, the doctor will consider the best way to help, sometimes medications are not given, we should never go to the doctor and expect drugs, there are various other treatments that will help panic attacks, like a course of CBT. Make a list befor seeing your GP this will help you remember your fears and explain your needs

I have been in psychiatry before and have had a long history of therapy. Ultimately at this point my panic attacks are making it hard for me to breathe and I feel I’m having heart attack at times. I am seeing a psychiatrist on Monday and I want the soonest relief possible so I can be more functional. If you could recommend some names of prescriptions so that I can go in eeady
I take propranolol and it has saved me so many times from panic attacks.. I can deal with the mental side of my attacks but not the physical sides like the shaking and heart racing; with me (and everyone is different) propranolol calms my body
My doctor prescribed low dose of Valium for a panic attack...
Without doubt diazepam, trade name Valium. It works within 2 minutes, there are no side effects and small doses (ie 2 to 2.5mg) are all that's usually needed.
It's ideal for taking "just when needed" or for taking continuously for 4 weeks or so. Many doctors have somehow got the idea it's addictive and are reluctant to prescribe it or should I say are scared to prescribe it. This is because some people abuse it and take too many.
Addictive? Every drug that works is addictive, just make sure you taper it off over several weeks and there's no problem. Diazepam is no different to this.
As for addictive, I took it 3 times a day for a year back in the 1970s when they were being handed out freely. No side effects, no loss of effectiveness. Sure, when I decided to come of it I had withdrawal symptoms JUST LIKE ANY OTHER DRUG YOU IF YOU COME OFF IT COLD TURKEY. So I tapered off it very slowly. No problem, what's all the fuss about. I took it 3 times a day for a year remember (3 x half a 5mg Diazepam = 7.5mg a day).
Anyway, ask your doc for a small prescription of diazepam to be taken only when needed. Stress only when needed.
If you have weed Car͏d legally you can buy
Edibles or smoke it’s excellent for anxiety and pain. That’s in California where it’s legal
I would be careful with Benzos - they are effective but they are addictive. I would recommend a low dosage Mirtazapine - it stops panic attacks within a week. Will warn you though that you will put on 10 lbs most likely and it has a sedative effect. You will sleep like a baby but will need an expresso to wake up
