Someone please help me understand, my cousin is a doctor and she told me I have GERD, I get chest pains acid reflux and it gets to a point where it feels really uncomfortable most times. I’m not sure if I get heart burn ( I don’t know what it feels like.) she have me omperazole and I took for a week....I think it helped a bit but I stopped taking it due to my bad anxiety. I really hate taking pills and I want some natural ways to handle it.

I suffered from GERD for a few years. My therapist suggested I consult a holistic dr to help me with a cleanse. Ever since I've been good without taking pills. I also did a microbiome test recently to see what foods are causing my flair ups and it was well worth the money.

Hi, I have spells of Gerds, they come when I over do anything in food, causing too much stomach acid. Lots of culprits, coffee, chocolate, pickles, spicy food, too much wine, or carbonated drinks. So I do my best to stick to a plain diet, and cheat a little now and then. Zantac is great it is OTC and not expensive.
Go on line and look up GERDS, you will find good info there. Try not to stress yourself this will flare up your anxiety. I do not like to take pills, but if they are going to make me feel well I do it. Take care of yourself, love yourself, be kind to yourself, talk with a trusted friend and get plenty of rest and sound sleep.
