Has anyone tried AA programs for support for depression and anxiety? I find it shocking that there are so many AA programs available at most hours of the day and easily accessible me all over, but very little physical supports for depression and anxiety.

Alcoholics Anonymous is for people who have a desire to stop drinking. That is the only requirement for membership.

It's sad they don't have support group programs for people like us who suffer from anxiety, depression & panic attacks! I think it would be so helpful

for many across the United States & feel they let us slip through the cracks. I'm going to check & see if there are any support groups in my area! Wish me luck!🙏🙌🙏

The closest type of group that includes mental disorders is Dual Diagnosis groups that address addictions and mental illness. Group therapy for depression may be available through your local hospital if you have one. Yeah, it's really crappy since there has been an increased focus on mental health recently. Hope you find one!
