Try relaxing. This happens to me too! Its terrifying but eventually goes away once I breath slowly. It takes a min for me

Also ASMR on YouTube always calms me down

Have you met with a cardiologist. I have some PVC and PACs and she helped me get the right meds to quiet them down. I dont always feel them, but I think they may contribute to my anxiety. A good beta blocker can actually help.

Iā€™m on metoprolol but havenā€™t really helped. She now wants to switch me to a channel blocker

I was on that for years. My doctor switched me to Bystolic. Its not generic. However, it is working for me. I think you have to talk to a specialist about making these smaller or nonexistent. I have less of them and I guess that helps. I didnt even know I had them until I had a heart monitor for 24 hours. Anxiety is sort of cause and effect. One condition can cause the other. The pvc or pacs can cause anxiety and anxiety could make them feel a little worse. Does that make sense? Dont be scared just find the right medication and doctor to help you work through these. My cardiologist also recommended I stay on xanax. I was surprised to hear that, but she says it helps with the heart fluctuations. Ironically I am on xanax as needed, but dont take it often. I feel like I just got a free pass!

Itā€™s just so frustrating that my cardiologist keeps insisting that itā€™s anxiety.. I just felt a bad one here at work and put me in full anxiety mode.all I was doing at the time was standing there talking to a co-worker and bam! It felt as it took my breath away. Scary stuff

interesting. My cardiologist was the other way around and was clear it was medical and didnt want me to use Anxiety as an excuse. In any case, you should have medical treatment for them. Maybe see a different cardiologist? Does your EKG show the PACs or PVCs? Did you have a heart monitor? Did they do a full cardiogram? That is the only way to know for sure.

Yes they did everything they did a echocardiogram they did bloodwork they did multiple EKGs I had a two week heart monitor and a chest x-ray and basically everything came back normal however they did see a very short run of a SVT episode that They said thereā€™s nothing to worry about it was very short-lived it was a six second nine beat run that converted itself. Iā€™m also seeing a therapist for my anxiety which she puts a lot of things in perspective but when my mind gets going he goes back to me self diagnosing myself with a severe heart problem. I just dont Get how you can feel all that and still not have a real heart problem

ok, you have had the tests. It probably anxiety that is making you feel more anxious and that will make your heart beat. I can make myself anxious and feel like my heart if beating out of my chest, but I know its anxiety. You have the diagnosis and you need to begin to work on relaxing and breathing. In some cases you have to say to yourself that is just my anxiety. It will not hurt you.

But why do I feel then when Iā€™m not stressing out thatā€™s the real question? And they all feel different some feel very light some feel very strong it could be a couple of them it could just be one single boom I mean itā€™s putting me through the ringer

Anxiety can exist when try and relax and especially when try to turn it off. Do you feel it when you lay down? Maybe you are overthinking the sensation and then making it stronger. Again-- accept it and try to acknowledge the anxiety. Say to yourself its just anxiety and distract yourself.

So hard to control.. and to train my brain to understand itā€™s anxiety. I always feel like they are missing something and I donā€™t trust my doctors.

You train your brain by accepting the anxious thoughts and feelings. The more you try to control anxiety, the more it sticks around because you are adding more stress to the symptoms of stress!

When you give up trying to control anxiety, you regain control.
