Ongoing physical symptoms

Hi all-so I had a little (mild) tummy bug on Monday which somehow triggered my anxiety. Anyway this week has been really tough as I’m experiencing ongoing physics symptoms and don’t know how to shift them.

Brain fog, extreme sleepiness, blurred vision (kinda ok but feels strange and can’t focus on close up things) and general feeling of being out of sorts/mentally fragile. I’ve also got a strange plugged ear feeling (I’m also in the tinnitus group on here as I have unilateral hearing loss and 3 tone tinnitus) which is making my anxiety worse because I’m so scared of if making my tinnitus worse.

Feeling physically (from the neck downwards) fine and am eating, drinking, exercising but just can’t sleep!

I’m on 40mg Citalopram but nothing has changed there. Taking wellwoman vits and had a mirena coil take. Out 4 weeks ago??

Any help anyone???? Pleeeeease?

Just wish the physical symptoms would go as it exacerbates the anxiety and becomes a viscous circle!!

I totally understand this feeling. It's miserable, and I'm so sorry you are experiencing it. For me, the most effective things to do are the simple things I love (getting a good drink from a coffee shop, painting, sitting in the park, going to a dog shelter and playing with pups), exercise can be pretty effective (though I know it can be tough to actually get up and do it– I love spin classes if that's an option for you because they are so loving and supportive), and practicing mindfulness (like the Calm app). Also, one of the hardest things for me that's also the most important thing is remembering that it is temporary. I get in these low spots related to health quite often, and every time it feels like it will last forever, but it never ever does. It always gets better with time so try to remember that. I hope something in this helps. Take care! I hope you're feeling better very soon.
