Beating myself up and can’t stop

It’s morning where I am. My boyfriend just went to work. I feel guilty because I don’t have a job. He’s being very kind and patient, but how long can this go on?

At least I do have a job interview this afternoon.

You have an interview today at least you’re actively seeking a job. Be patient with yourself and good luck on your interview.

You told me to go easy on myself, you have to take your own advice too! 😉 I completely understand where you’re coming from though. I haven’t been able to work since Thanksgiving. Focus on the positive though, having an interview is great! Practice interview questions so your mind stays focused on that rather than the bad thoughts. Best of luck today!

Take deep breaths and stay in the present moment the best you can. I know it can be difficult. I’m having trouble not beating myself up lately but all we can do is try our best, you are doing it with the job interview so good for you and best to you.

Take a deep breath and start giving yourself a break. You can find work at temp agency's. This is great for those of us who just need a paycheck and not any long term commitment we are not sure we can handle in our lives right now. Do something that makes you happy today, do something nice for yourself....and for your partner...make a meal, or get take-out. Just know this is a temporary situation, and with one foot in front of the other, you will eventually get to where you want to go.

Of course you're a little more anxious, you've just moved back in with your boyfriend, I'm sure it will go fine but it makes for an increase in anxiety levels, of course it does, you will deal with it.

The job interview will go well, you need a bit of extra 'fight or flight' hormone to keep you on your toes. If if they decide you're too highly qualified for the job it's still good practice for future interviews. Good luck!
