Agoraphobic here....looking for same

This is my first post.....I was looking for what my Psycologist refers to as a support person online or by phone to network the problem solving issues and be around during Panic or Anxiety attacks happen......

I got help for this condition. I still experience anxiety when I go out but it's not as bad as it used to be. Im glad to hear you r getting help and seeing someone about this. Are you currently taking any meds for this?

I also want to add you are not alone in feeling this way. Sooo many people have this condition. The good news is it's cureable.

Hi Agoraphobic1968 and Welcome to this amazing support group.

I am just one of many people on this site who have been agoraphobic.

Mine was for 5 years in never leaving my home. Hence the username,

Agora1... I felt I had earned it. It was the most confusing and frightening time

in my life. During that time, I learned a lot about myself and anxiety.

As difficult as it was, I always knew that I would beat this immense fear.

I would conquer anxiety and when I did (not if I did) I would pass it forward

and help others struggling through severe anxiety. So my new friend, you

have just taken your first step forward in getting back your life as I have.

Through the experiences of others we learn and share our journey through

mental health issues. It gives us courage and wisdom in knowing we are not

alone. Thank you for reaching out to us. You've just begun a new path to

take. Stay Positive and Believe that this too shall pass. xx
