I am not sure what you mean, but the esophagus has muscular contractions to move food. If you are having GERD, reflux, or trouble swallowing, it makes sense.

Hi the Dr. say that my swallow muscles are weak and yes I also have GERD as well i’m 49 and I have to take liquid or chewable medication now

Ok, well that is not the end of the world. You can't work out that muscle. The peristalsis motion is automatic, so it is what it is unless he thinks it was damaged by something. If the liquid tastes bad, pinch your nose and chase with OJ.

If the GERD is worst overnight, then timing of last food and drink is important. Can you put 2x4s under the legs of the top of your bed? The slight angle will help.

I assume this diagnosis is from a gastroenterologist. If not, maybe a second opinion is something worth looking at.
