Doc prescribed 1800mg of Gabapentin for my anxiety. Anyone have experience with this and does it work. Supposed to replace the Ativan. Also I feel like I’m gaining weight. Anyone had this side effect. Thanks.

I have been taking gabapentin for about three weeks, 300 mg three times a day. I have gained about 15 pounds. Also, when I take it, I get extremely bloated and unsteady on my feet. It helps a lot with anxiety, but these other side effects are really bothersome.
