Emetphobic panic attack

Once again I'm having a emetphobic panic attack. My stomach has been off today and I thought it was just my regular problems but I just took my temperature 5 times and it said between 99.7 and 100 degrees. I don't feel like I'm catching a cold. I'm absolutely terrified. It's 10pm here where I'm at which the night is always the worst for me. I messaged my adult son and he said I could call him if need be but I am so scared.

I don't have emetophobia, but I know all about panic attacks. I'm here if you want to talk about it.

Thank you. I just don't know what to do. I don't usually run a fever unless I'm actually sick.

I hope you can find a way to calm down and relax. What made you check your temperature if you didn't feel sick?

My cheeks were very pink but I was cold plus my stomach was bothering me (I have stomach issues which isn't unusual with this stupid phobia) so I thought I would check it which helps me calm down when it's normal but it wasn't. I've also been super tired for no reason today.

I'm not a doctor, so I can't assess your health situation. You can always make an appointment if there's any doubt in your mind. But getting more anxious over all this isn't going to help anything. Maybe you can lie down on your couch and watch a movie, or listen to some relaxing music. You need something to distract you, and get your mind off of yourself.

You're very right. Panicking always makes it worse I just can't help it.

I've been listening to a noise machine for awhile (birds & water sounds) which has helped a little. Thanks for responding to me. I may try and lay down for a while and see if I can sleep.

That's great, and maybe some long, slow, deep breathing will help your tummy feel better. Sleep well, and good night.
