Yes, yes, and yes. This is very common with mental health issues. It's much easier to be able to help someone else coz you have distance from the problem. With ourselves sometimes we can't see the wood for the trees.
That's one of the values of a site like this. We can help others and hopefully they can help us untangle our minds a bit. x
I feel it's easier to avoid dealing with our own issues if we are consumed with another's.
YES! I have the biggest heart. I am so loyal to friends and significant others. I'll spend hours talking to others and putting their mind at ease. I have not been successful with healing myself because my mind has never been balanced and focused on me.
