So what's causing you your anxiety disorder? A degree of stress we can all cope with. But everybody has their break-down point. Some sooner, some later.

It's important to pin point why it happened to us. So let's look at the usual suspects. You can tick the boxes.

Money worries.

Toxic relationships with partners, bosses or work colleagues.

Over work: being expected to do the work of two people.

Not coming to terms with our grief.

Worrying about other people usually family members.

Job insecurity - constantly fearing you're going to lose your job.

Worry about your health, either genuine or due to hypochondria.

Too many things you need to attend to and not enough time to do it all.

Betrayal.

Loss.

They're the main ones but there are loads more of course.

Apart from treating the mental distress these things cause us maybe we should put more effort into treating the causes. What to do is usually obvious.

Distance yourself from toxic people.

Find a new job with nicer people and for more money. Of course you can do it.

Let go of people who have passed on or moved on.

Tell your boss you've more work than you can handle and it's making you ill and if he or she fires you find another job - staying in a job that's making you feel ill isn't an option.

Do what you can to help family in trouble but recognise you can only help so much, then it's up to them to sort themselves out.

Stop using recreational drugs which are increasingly seen as a reason people present with mental disorders.

Insist you get at least 8 hours sleep every night. Eight hours means eight hours.

If you realy can't think of a way to solve the causes of your anxiety then look at them from a different perspective and you may see things differently.

So before you start treating the symptoms of anxiety give some time to sorting the cause of your anxiety.

Remember: there is no problem in the world that cannot be overcome by the application of human thought. Once you've rid yourself of the demons that are making your life a misery you can think more clearly about how to repair the damage through meds, talking therapy or self-help cures.

Hi Jeff1943,

Very thoughtful post. Yes, what you say is absolutely right. Everyone has their demons to fight, & many can overcome them to a point where when we begin to walk in an unbeatable power for not joining them, there’s no breaking us.

~~ Battles with them against us can be relentless but we will be resilient.

~~ Battles with them against us may work on us but we will be the winners.

~~ Battles with them against us may send power of their wrong words that attempt to hurt us but the power of our wise words will unfailingly nullify them.

~~ Battles with them against us may try to keep bringing darkness over us but as long as we stay in the Light, darkness can never overcome our Light.

~~ Battles with them against us may try to weaken us but once tapped into an unlimited Source of Pure Strength, in our weakness we will be Strong.

Thank you for bringing this to the open. I believe many will experience this as Helpful.
