Am damn afraid, idk am having fear of something, I need someone to talk to. It's 6 in the morning here and I haven't slept till now. IDK what's happening, untill Tonight I was okay, but now am having Anxiety, am afraid. IDK man, anyone who can help. Plz

IDK am just too afraid, I have this sense of fear of something. IDK. I am damn anxious, am afraid to sleep. What to do? IDK what's happening

First, are you safe? Is anyone there with you ? Stop what you’re doing , and concentrate on breathing, slowly in slowly out count to 4 each time . You might be having a panic attack , has this happened before?

Shut off the tv or radio or any over stimulating stuff- find something to focus on

Keep breathing

Yes am safe, but haven't slept for 2-3 days,no this haven't Happened to me before. I need to sleep but am scared of sleeping. Idk. I was trying to act like normal but today i am unable to handle this.

If you haven’t slept in that long I would go to see a doctor, you said it’s day time where you are ? Do they have urgent care or emergency rooms or walk in clinics where you are ? Are you a little more calm? I think you might be having panic attacks - I’m not there so I don’t know 💯 percent but while they end in the mean time there may be some relief if you see someone. Are you able to do that ? Is there anyone who can go with you ?

Yes there's emergency room here for that, but I am not sure of going there. I don't want to leave my bed. But I did consulted a doctor, he was bit in a hurry, but he told me to meet him in person and talk briefly,he gave me advice that I should try to sleep early.

If you are a person who prays, I have found some peace by closing my eyes and repeating the Our Father or the Hail Mary.

I just do this over and over and try not to think of anything else.

Yes I am religious, and thanks for this idea. I really need to pray now, it helps me to calm down .

Find a prayer that is meaningful to you...kneel beside your bed and pray before lying down.

And if worrys are keeping you awake, as they do me, just try to block everything out and say your prayer over and over.

I'm praying for you and me.

I wish you peace and sleep.

Thanks a lot sir, it helped me a lot. when praying it seems like there's someone with you, like it's helping in mysterious ways. It give me assurity that nothing bad will happen. Am feeling good now, but still I think am on verge of getting panic attack. Am trying to take deep breaths and distract myself.

Just take deep breaths...close your eyes...and repeat a prayer.

Try not to think of anything else. It seems hard to do sometimes, I know, but if your mind strays, go back to your prayer. No matter what, force your mind back to your prayer. God has you.

thanks dominic, I took the much needed sleep, am feeling better now, but still in bad condition. Hope everything goes well.

Hi red fox sorry to see your having problems! Do you know what is that's making you so anxious and do you have depression have you been to your doctor! It's 3:45am here just now and I can't sleep either I was crying a bit earlier tonight I had one of my meds reduce but its made me feel worse think I will be putting it back up! If your taking medication have you being taking it all the time? Please take care david 🙏

No am not having depression and i don't take medication for it. Am feeling good now, day after tomorrow am going home AGAIN, actually it's 5th time am going home, it's been very tough semester for me, hope everything will be good.

And how are you now? are you ok???
