Mood swings😳😨

I'm having a tough time going thru the ups and then downs and not trying to upset my damn family. I hate it when they just look at me like I'm Soooooo crazy!!!! Its just mood swings its not like its schizophrenia. That's a tough illness and I wish the best for ppl struggling with that but my family just treats me like I'm so ill. Incapable of living. Them treating me like I'm not a normal person. They are also very condescending when they talk down to me. Nothing more freaking shittier than that!!!! Excuse my language. I'm just so mad at their treatment. If I had lots of money I'd be amazing cause its all about money. Yea not for me!!!! I care for ppl and especially care for elderly and homeless💜💜 I give food, money or blankets to the homeless and they are so grateful. Its such a wonderful feeling to help someone. That's why I'm a caregiver. Money obviously makes no difference to me as long as I have enough to live. Other than that I don't need it. Maybe I'm just a weirdo but someone's feelings or needs come first to me. I'm off subject probably cause its only 3:30 am. LOL!! I just don't want that guilty feeling of family treating me like I'm a mental disease. Its not any of our faults that we suffer these issues! Sick of them saying we understand its not your fault but then treat me like I'm bat s..t crazy😭😞

So nice to read ya! Sorry about your family. So true, what’s impotant in life is how we treat eachother, not about what we could buy.

I know the feeling! They probably don't know much about your psychological problems and think they're being nice. Have you tried explaining to them how it affects you on an individual level and a few general mythbusting facts?

Explaining anything to them would do no good cause they just shut me up. Like its not our problem its yours!!! There's definitely no talking to them whatsoever!!! Its frustrating as all hell😳😞😣 They think they already understand it all so that's always pissing me off too!!! Do you deal with similar problems?? It would be nice to know that I'm not alone! I know families all have problems but its always a horrible feeling to be treated like the crazy one and they're all normal. LOL!! Trust me they have probably more issues than I do!!!😄😄😄 Thanks for the message rach1402!!

That's extremely frustrating to have to deal with on top of all your other problems. Your family should accept you even if they don't understand and try to help you instead of treating you like you're stupid. To be honest yes I do have that problem myself and it reached breaking point about 3 years ago, I don't see them any more. I give myself enough of a hard time without people who are supposed to love me making me feel even worse. I hope it doesn't come to that for you, if you can still have a relationship with them without expecting much from them in terms of support then that's probably the ideal but you do need emotional support and validation from somewhere so reach out to empathic, accepting people eg on this forum, local support group, understanding friends and family if you have them at all. Different types of relationships with different people might be the way forward, not that you should have to but realistically we have to sometimes.

Off on a tangent, I too love dogs and I have 3 little ones 🐶🐶🐶💗

Your too kind to share your experience with me! I'm so sorry you had to deal with similar stuff. Its so hurtful and makes me so sad. I'm still close to them. My mom was supporting me due to being on disability but thankfully I just landed a part time job a day ago. I think she'll be more supportive and not so condescending once I'm making at least 1000 bucks a month. Its all I need to survive atm. I'm again so sorry about your family causing you to separate from them!!! Its just not right cause like you said they are supposed to love you!!! I can't understand why they treat us this way!???!!!

Oh and I love the wonderful ppl like you on this site!! Everyone has been genuine and caring! Give great advice and are very supportive😄 Oh I love that you have 3 dogs💜🐾💜 What a blessing they are aren't they!!! I lost my best dog, best friend and sidekick shepherd lab 7 years ago. Haven't had a dog since due to renting places I could afford and then don't let me have pets like the one I'm in. I hate it so bad!!! The contract says it allows "service animals" so not sure if they would let me have an emotionally support dog??? I will eventually call on that for sure!!! What breed of dogs do you have?

I would think they'd let you have a dog for your epilepsy at least, some dogs can be trained to predict seizures so definitely worth investigating! My boys are chihuahuas, the long haired ones, their names are Rocky and Muffin. I love them so much, they both want snuggles all the time, which is fine by me! Muffin is crazy and has plenty to say for himself, whereas Rocky is a bit more calm and less playful, but very friendly. I also have a female toy poodle x chihuahua called Xena (warrior princess!) She's more of a typical dog, she loves to play fetch and go for walkies, especially if she can get muddy. She looks more like a yorkie x Shi Tzu but with big teddy bear paws for such a little dog. I love cute little fluffy pets, I've got 2 chinchillas and a little marmoset monkey as well, my house is like a zoo (it smells like one as well unfortunately) 😂 I've noticed you're also in the ADHD group, same! I only got diagnosed less than 2 years ago, still trying to find the best medication and dosage for me. Started with Concerta XL and Ritalin but didn't get on well with that. Changed to Elvanse (European Vyvanse, I'm British) a few weeks ago, seems to suit me much better but I'm still more inattentive than I would like and sometimes go hyper in the afternoon so might need a higher dose and/or booster in the afternoon. How do you manage your ADHD, if you don't mind me asking?

Sounds like lovely little doggies and super fun!! I miss that with Cheyenne, my dog that passed away. I took her to rivers, lakes, mtns or city parks to play everyday!!! Mostly to rivers daily. Her breeds love love love the water!!! ❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾🐾 She was everything to me!!! I tell her good morning and good night everyday! When she passed it broke my ❤ and my soul was empty. Trying to handle life without is beyond hard! That's awesome your British! I tried adderall for adhd but I get totally spaced out and more inattentive. Plus my insurance doesn't cover it anymore so its fine I guess. I'm not sure what I can try now. Have to talk with psych nurse about what to try. It would be nice to have help with that for sure. Hope your having a great day😊😄😄✌
