So yesterday I landed in the hospital. Due to severe chest pain and blood pressure was 175/71. Well i was released thank God nothing was wrong. Just muscular pain and inflammation of my muscles. But today I had a severe left arm pain and blurry vision. Why must I feel this way?

So is this just pain. God it makes me hurt. It goes all the way to my left side makes me want to run and scream lol. But right now it's just my arm that is bothering me. It starts at my elbow and makes it's way up.

Everything is connected when you’ve got costochondritis it effects all your torso and back imflames your sternum and intercostal muscles that connect on to your rib cage pain radiates down your arms too .

Omg you are a lifesaver Alan234. I know they where explaining to me at the hospital of something like that but I wasnt understanding. I was more concerned with blood pressure. But it all makes sense.

I’ve had it for years,it can mimic heart attack symptoms pain wise as the nerves in the sternum are so painful, but hospital tests show nothing wrong get some diclofenac gel ..volterol but if it’s too expensive get ibuprofen gel and rub it into your breastplate and your neck at the sides ,arm pain usually comes down from nerves in your neck .

I know it’s crippling just trying to get dressed sometimes unbearable but rub that diclofencac in and check out tietzie syndrome on you tube I know you’ve had this for months now so it’s a chronic widespread condition and could be tietze syndrome like mine there’s a good Aussie physio on you tube who explains things and gives good advice.✌🏼🕊 p.s avoid coffee....

You know I drank coffee this morning for the first time in many months. Could it be that?

Coffee gives me oesophageal spasms really painful too which kicks off sternum pain ,I’m on reflux meds for life because of years of anti inflammatory meds I.e. ibuprofen, and naproxen that’s why I recommend the gel avoid the tablets....I love coffee too ...real bummer unable to drink it now, best wishes friend hope the pain calms down soon.🕊

Sorry to hear that agora,it’s debilitating sometimes isn’t it,and doctors start you on the naproxen then its ant acid pills and endoscopy stuff, I find the diclofenac good also in the uk we have comfrey oil and this helps calm the pain down best wishes 🌹🌞

Costochondritis. Awful. And very scary. Heat and ice and muscle rub. I’m currently seeing also a chiropractor but costing a fortune. Trying to lay of inflammatory pain relief as do nothing and not great on stomach. Sending you positive thoughts 😊

I hope you feel better? I did not even knew about this disease, this is good people know here about it and can give some practical advice.

Gentle hugs to you!

Doctors link it into anxiety and stress and as it’s musculoskeletal and not life threatening in my experience are not very helpful. Staying calm helps but as we know that’s not always possible ✌🏼🧘🏻‍♂️🕊🦋🍀

Thank you alan234 you are very helpful. At times I get so lightheaded I'm thinking its because of the pain.
