I have recently been struggling with anxiety and some negative self talk, as well as some obsessive thinking about one specific topic that I can't seem to get off my mind.
Does anyone have tips for dealing with these things, as well as managing stress? I feel like i'm not doing the best job at it.
Also, any tips for showing yourself kindness/self care would be appreciated too

Learn some sort of self soothing to help in the moment. Just because you think it does not make it true I have learned to tell my self. I can't take SSRI/SNRI's but have Ativan and heart arrhythmia pills in my pocket at all times for emergencies.
I can suggest that for every negative thought you have, think of a positive thought no matter how little you believe it. And repeat it several times. Out loud. In front of a mirror (if possible).
To manage stress, exercise is amazing as well as meditation and deep breathing. Hope these help!
I love to read good books, and play music, and go to the YMCA for class as well as my church. Those activities take the focus off of myself and help develop healthy friendships. Are you involved in any community groups?
