I’m just wondering if anyone here has experienced withdrawal from SSRI’s. It’s been almost a year since I’ve been off them but I still have a hard time getting through the day without crying. Crying is so easy for me and I get triggered easily and quickly. Just wanted to see if this is something normal for withdrawal or if there is something deeper going on.
Love ❤️

Effexor is one of the hardest drugs to get off of. I had to open the capsule, count the beads (225). I removed 1 bead each day until I only had one bead left! Even after that I could feel some anxiety, but my homeopathic Dr gave me something to help. I had been on
That drug for 12 years! How did you wean yourself off?
Hi Kimingram0202, I looked back and saw you were on your med for 10 years.
That is normal for your brain to take some time in healing and learning how to make the necessary chemicals naturally. Depending on the dosage and length of time we are on a medication can make a difference in how low it takes to stabilize w/o drugs.
I was on benzos (small dose) for 30 years. It took me 2 years to wean slowly off the med and another 2 years of healing and getting back to myself once again. During that 2 years
of healing each day got better and better and you will eventually be able to feel the clear headed feeling coming through. You are heading in the right direction. I too would cry every day at the drop of a hat. Once my brain healed, that went away.
Give it more time but always check with your doctor. He knows your mental history.
Thank you so much, I really appreciate to read that. I thought it was too long to still be experiencing withdrawal so it really helps to have that reassurance it’s part of the process. I recently just moved to a new city across the country so I don’t have my regular doctor anymore. Will get a new doctor soon
