Anexity physical symptoms
I feel tired and sluggish. Muscle tension, stomach aches and headaches
I felt a jolt of adrenaline and it just continued during the time I was anxious. Inability to focus on anything and pacing.
I wake up everyday with tension headaches... throughout the day as my anxiety increases I have heart palpitations, shortness of breathe and my hands and legs shake a lot.
Pressure in head, like my head’s in a vice. Ears feel like they need to pop but will not. Aggravated feeling of already-present sinus pressure.
Light headed, dizzy feeling. Ears ringing slightly
Dryness in mouth and throat.
A bit trembly, especially hands.
Do you experience chest pain as well?
Nassau, diarrhea, heart palpitations, shaky, difficulty catching my breath, trouble sleeping
Do you experience chest pain as well?
Yes
Very possible, but don’t just let it go as anxiety. Chest pain can be very serious even if caused by anxiety. Call a Dr or go to er.
Have already check ECG. Blood test and X ray Doctor said nothing wrong to my heart
Then likely anxiety...negative thoughts making you feel as though you are in danger (when you are not), which can cause symptoms like chest pains. There are a lot of good articles about it on this site: anxietynetwork.com/
Hi John!
Check out this list: anxietycentre.com/anxiety-s...
Over the years I've had more than half that are on this list
Yes it's true- anxiety can cause such strong physical symptoms!
If your chest pain was checked out and doc said it's anxiety, well that's good news! No heart problem. Just anxiety.
The symptoms still come for me on some occasions and they do not bother me in the least. It's my anxiety causing them and they have no meaning or significance. These anxiety-based symptoms are all completely harmless.
Thank you for the information! I have been this website before but just can't believe that anexity can cause us so much physical symptoms
Severe Anxiety and Panic Disorder Sufferer
John,
I am new to HealthUnlocked. I am here searching for answers as well. I am a soon to be retired 22 year Military Vet. I suffer from severe anxiety as well as panic disorder and chronic ptsd. May be hard to believe but my struggle with PTSD has been controlled for the last 8-9 years. My struggles with Anxiety and Panic Disorder recently began in the last year and a half. Never thought I would be suffering from a mental illness but when it hit, it hit like a ton of bricks. I have sought help through psychologists and different groups. Some helpful, some not so much. So as to not drag my story on so long, I will get to answering your question about the symptoms I have with severe anxiety. Since I began dealing with anxiety and panic attacks (June 2017), my symptoms have been: brain fog/light headedness/dizziness, muscle twitches, palpitations, feeling of tiredness and not wanting to do things I used to enjoy out of fear I would have a panic attack, feeling detached from family and friends, feeling depressed because of all the “body sensations” I deal with almost daily, constantly monitoring my heart rate and pulse. I’m sure I am leaving out a couple but you get the jist. I like you have had the emergency room visits on SEVERAL occasions only to get word from the doctors that all my results are negative and that my heart is fine and I am healthy (which I am truly grateful for). My heart has been checked fairly thoroughly. I have had multiple EKG’s, worn the heart monitor several times, bubble studies of my heart, echocardiograms, blood work, seen cardiologists and neurologist. All say I am physically healthy and that it is Anxiety and Panic disorder. I tell you all of that to say that Anxiety can truly make you feel that something is physically wrong with you when in actuality it is an issue we are dealing with mentally in most cases. I am on the road to recovery over the last 6 months but it is a daily struggle and many minor setbacks along the way. My apologies for such a long reply, but to be honest it feels good to get it out and write it down which by the way is one of the ways my psychologist/therapist says is a good way to help with getting this out of my system. Thanks for listening and if anyone has or is experiencing the same I’d like to hear your stories, symptoms, and how you overcame your illness. Be easy, be strong, be blessed.
So thankful that you wrote me that long msg, feel like family here everyone supporting and sharing their experience to each other. So amazing here calm me down reading the msg that you guys replied me. Thank you so much
Hi John,
Sounds like you are headed in the right direction, so happy for you! I have recovered, many have recovered, you can recover too. I have resources I love that have helped both me and my daughter tremendously- they are all on my profile. Dr. Claire Weekes- the master of all that is anxiety- tops the list. The other resources have information heavily based on her work. Dr. Weekes was a genius who figured out anxiety completely (and had it herself). I hope they might help you!
Lol check out my anxiety post but beware you have been warned!!!
