Wow I am half Polish. My extended family speaks Polish, but all I learned was how to curse. How is Poland?

Super hot today. Very turbulent politically. Sad with the death of a very important artist. Cool with Saturday midnights. Very very full over the polish food family late dinners and barbecue.

Yeah the Polish food is great. My grandfather used to make his own kielbasa. It was so much better than the store bought ones.

Yes my great great grandfather came to America from Poland as a child in the 1890s. He fought in World War I. He was so proud of his American citizenship that he was buried with his citizenship papers, but he was Polish first. I never got to meet him as he died before I was born. He had the Parkinson’s.

I’m not surprised of his love for the citizenship. Poland that time was a horrible place, especially if he was living under Russian occupation. He must have been a very strong person to take the step into unknown!
