I have had this issue before. For me, it feels like I cannot take a deep enough or satisfying breath. When recently experiencing this I searched for some techniques on google and found that this could be caused because you are so focused on inhaling that you are not exhaling enough. Once I read this I started focusing on counting my inhales and exhales in these situations and tried to take longer exhales. In these situations, I also try to remind myself that I can breathe fine and even if it does not feel right, I will be okay. I hope this helps!

Yes, I feel out of breath. Like Brittany, I too feel as if I can't get enough air in. It feels like there is no air or it is thin like at a high altitude. I suffer a panic disorder too, so it feels like the beginning of a panic attack. I focus on my breathing and go into my take care of myself mode.

Wellbutrin can make you jittery. I can drink a cola in the morning, but the office coffee messes me up. I do feel like I can't get enough air when I am feeling anxious.

Will the wellbutrine jitters stop? This exact time last year I wound up and er thinking heart attack. Ekg was ok. Dr put me on paxell then. It made me jittery couldn’t sleep. I quit it after two weeks. Somehow I think through the power of sunshine and time with my son. I straightened. Out. But it seems it’s back.

It usually does after 2-5 days. I was on it a couple of times and it take a few days for your body to adapt to it. Sometimes it gets paired with another medication to help smooth out the jitters. If after a week you still feel jittery, then talk to your doctor about it.

What do you do when you feel you can’t get enough air

I have a breathing exercise I do to calm myself back down. Breathe in for a 3-count, hold for a 3-count, breathe out for a 3-count, hold for a 3-count. Lather, rinse, repeat until you feel calm enough again to breathe without feeling like you're going to hyperventilate or pass out.
