I had a wreck and suffered a severe head injury. I was actually in a coma. My memory is therefore shot. Anxiety is off the charts. I find that making lists helps me. I have become OCD with organization. I have an IPhone which helps a lot. I put everything in my phone calendar and mark it to alert me the day before and 2 hours before if I have to go somewhere. The alarm clock I use for everything ahead of time I have to remember to do for the current day. I also use the notes section for everything. I have one for things to discuss at next doctors appt. One for groceries. One for errands. Etc. I also keep a meticulous bill book. It’s a notebook. I have

Bill | due date | amount| Paid | date

across the top. I have an extra column if it has a shut off notice. Most of my bills come out automatically so I don’t have to remember. I have them starred and just go down the list and subtract them as soon as I get paid. Organization and lists are my saving grace along with my IPhone. I never leave without my phone. I even have a place for important account numbers, passwords, and all bill information such as number, computer log ins etc in front of bill book. If it’s not written it doesn’t exist. I have everyone that matters birthday in my calendar to ring at 9:00am on their birthday once a year so I don’t forget to call. The ones I buy gifts for also alert me a week in advance. That’s all I know to do. I keep a checkbook register balanced down to the penny as well. So I will remember what I spent or is coming out etc. A lot of people don’t anymore they just check the bank. I can’t. I’ll forget money that is earmarked for a bill and think I have extra. Plus I’m poor so I get right down to it at times. So now that I’ve bugged you to death feel free to message me anytime. As far as the depression and anxiety that is my normal. Times get rough but I post hear and get encouraged. I also take meds to cope. Idle minds breed negativity. Stay active. It’s the best medicine. Journaling also helps a lot whether reading it as if from another perspective and thinking about how you would help that person or just getting out and closing the book on it!

The positive about writing everything is that if I die eventually it will be easy for someone to take care of my business. Morbid I know but we all do it eventually. I’m here most days. Feel free if you need to talk. My life did a 360 when I wrecked. The head injury just a small part of it. I may be able to help.
