I was sitting with some of my friends and they talking about random stuff

Somehow one of my friends said, ‘my ex emotionally abused me by saying he’d die if she left him’

I am thinking, my depression and anxiety triggered because my ex left me, and I used to say to him that if he’d leave me I’d die too

Was I emotionally abusive ?

I would say it depends on how you said it. If you honestly felt that way, and you said it in a heart-to-heart manner, then I would say no. If you said it because you knew he had a weakness in this area, and you did it to control him, that would be different.
