I have started getting back into sketching after a long stretch and I actually had a good time creating this by adding pastel and pen and ink I had a sense of ‘me’ in my zone.

Wow! Beautiful, you go girl!!!!!!!!! Love & hugs!!!!!!!!!!
I’m rusty but thank you my friend! I plan on doing many more. I feel younger! 💗
Holy smokes! You've got real talent! I have never been any good at all when it comes to sketching, painting, or anything like that, ut I have a very deep appriciation for art and have actually had the privilage of knowing a few well known artists.
I used to hate art because I have no ability to create it, but over the course of years and a few visits to galleries, museums and shows, I started to learn that art doesn't mean a thing unless people like me feel a real appriciatiin for it. That was a game-changer.
Starrlight, please, donot you ever put those penciled and brushes down ever again. I know you feel rusty, and I get that, but you use of negative space, and the striking effect you have created between the black, white and pastel blue just . . . yeah . . . good stuff.
I'm no professional critic, but the work on the left side of this piece stands out to me in particular. I love both the hard angular as well as the more gentle curves, and also really love the way you combined the use of very bold strong black lines along with softer, yet equally wide strokes. That combined with the pastel creates sort of a real meets surreal as well as a daylight meets twilight feel.
I hope you'll post more of your work for us, and also have some photos I shot that I would love to send you to look over.
I have to get my butt moving, like RIGHT now because I have an appointment to be at in 25 minutes, but I really felt compelled to be one of the 1st to tell you, "wow."
So true, beauty or art is in the eye of the beholder, art can speak to you and it’s a gift to be able to appreciate it. That’s cool that you have known some well known artists...I worked at s fine arts shop and met s very good well known as well. He would inspire me.
The way you see my art is so great and I very much appreciate your opinion. I will keep up with it.
Ha I hope you made your appointment.
I would absolutely looooove to see your photography! Please share!
Great job Starrlight, follow your passion, you can't lose xx
Glad you found something to make you feel better.
I found out through my insurance co. Which was Never disclosed to me that I can get a mental/behavior health coach/Lifestyle coach and a nurse is going to call me monthly to check on my health needs. So we'll See???
Hey PJRR that sounds great. Hope you can get a coach soon then...how often can the coach see you I wonder.
There phone conversations, I'll call tomorrow to see when I can speak to one. Funny the life coach called the other day and said she'd call me when I've gotten my anxeity under control??? She's a life coach, thought that's what they do?
I hope your doing well also.
That doesn’t seem right. I would think the coach would help you no matter if you have anxiety or not.
That's what I thought? They want me to speak to a behavior Councelor to help me with my anxeity. We'll see?
This is really beautiful. So glad you are connecting to your creative side. I had my first piano lesson Tues . It was great. So happy to be getting back. Practiced for an hour today and enjoyed ever minute. Feeding our souls!
