Is there a cure/solution for Social anxiety?

Im just curious. I dont wanna live the rest of my life like this. Ive had this since i was a kid... I just want to make new friends or keep a conversation going atleast!!!!!

Hi mojojojo1323, As with anything else there is a solution/cure for Social Anxiety. Here are a few steps you can take to start helping yourself.

Focus your attention on other people, remembering that anxiety isn't as visible as you think. Really listen to what they say and not to your own negative thoughts. Focus on the present moment rather than worrying about what you are going to say next. Release the pressure to be perfect and focus on being genuine and attentive.

Learn to control your breathing, doing your deep breathing as you listen to what is being said. Face your social fear, avoidance keeps SAD going. Take one small step at a time. Once comfortable enough try introducing yourself to 1 new person. Be patient in that social anxiety takes time. Last but not least stay calm and smile :) xx
