Emetophobia

I have severe emetophobia, i spent the day with my nephew Wednesday, yesterday he started with a sickness bug. It has been 48 hours since I was last with him, how likely am I to also get the bug

Only a doctor can answer that. Try not to worry and just see what happens. I understand your phobia but I don't think anyone can probably help you with any facts as it would depend on what kind of bug it was; if it was food poisoning for example you would not get it as it would be something he ate; if it was flu then I guess that is catching.

depends if he really had a bug, or just an upset stomach for a lot of un-related reasons.

Had you been anywhere else besides with him? A store, church, post office, coffee shop? Anywhere?

Hard to say. I have emetophobia too. I obsess for days after something like that happens. Remember that even if it is a catchy bug, kids are way more susceptible than adults to those kinds of bugs. You have a stronger immune system.
