Decreased Appetite And Lethargic.

Anyone who has taken Sertraline experience decreasing appetite and lethargic?

I feel like I have no energy to do anything.

A few weeks when I initially fell into this deep depression I wanted to start doing things for myself like studying for the GED, Drivers Ed, and go to and getting involved in church, and now I can barely bring myself to do any of these things.

Haven’t studied at all. I did go to church today, but barely made it through.

I also feel like my appetite is decreasing. I felt like I had to force myself to eat which I did, but I really didn’t feel like eating anything.

I’ve never taken an antidepressant before so I hope this is just a case of my body needing to get used to the anti depressant.

I’m concerned though and plan on sharing those concerns with the psychiatrist’s office first thing tomorrow morning.

Totally normal. I lost 8 pounds the first 3 weeks I was on it. Do a search on here for “sertraline” and there is 100 posts with people talking about their side effects. Read through then and you’ll get a good idea of what to expect.

possibly you may be on too high a dose to start with, have you talked to your doctor about your side effects.
