Hello! Have you been to a doctor or therapist? I went through a bad couple of years but I think I finally found something that helps at least a little bit. Don’t give up!! it’s good you reached out on here.

Yes I see both a psychiatrist & therapist. I think my therapist is,at lost with me. It doesn't seem like anything works.

Is seeing another therapist or psychologist an option? Sometimes a doctor can't meet our needs because it's not a good fit. The right doctor is out there for you. In the meantime, keep in touch here so you have support. I wish you well.

I have been on Wellbutrin XL for a year. I feel that it is not helping me much anymore. I've tried so many . I'm also on Klonopin for anxiety. I wonder if I'm even on the right medication. I have 7 different diagnosis so I'm sure that really cannot find the correct meds to give me. Ive been suicidal many times. Have you ever gone to a support group? I think I'm going to try one out this week. It can't hurt. Have you ever done out patient therapy? I have never been hospitalized but have had come close. Trying to avoid that. I'm afraid I will never get out. Heck I'm afraid to go the hospital for other things. It really freaks me out. I'm so glad that I myself can talk to other ppl going thru the same situation.

I was on the Lamictal & buspirone. Neither one worked for me. I just didn't see any difference. I also suffer from tics which I have a feeling it is caused by the number of meds I have taken over the past year. I go to a neurologist in about a week to see what is causing this. I just wish their was an easy answer to all of this craziness.

Two of my friends have 'bipolar'. They have both been sectioned, they have both been fed meds, inc lithium, one for 20 years. Both have seen the light and now control their moods with diet, coping mechanisms and sorting out their emotional side. Roger started a web site called rethinkingbipolar.com .

Remember that most psychiatrists are peddlars of meds - that's all they know. They control the symptoms, not delve into the causes.

Take responsibility for your health.

All good replies. Finding some sort of spirituality might help.

Take care of yourself as well as possible with nutrition some sort of exercise if you can. Take care.
