Panicked and I think I’m hyperventilating.

Scary feeling. Like I can’t breathe. But I know I’m over breathing. Just need to tell my mind it’s okay. 😭

Completely understand that feeling. It helps me if I think that, we need to breathe to live so there's no way you'll stop breathing. Even when you try to stop breathing, you can't. Hope this helps.

Tell yourself it'll be okay. Do you have people near you? If you do talk about it. It helps just to let it out.

My bf just got home from work. He knows but he’s preparing dinner. I’m on the couch trying not to run around the apt panicking. =*****

Don't tell yourself that you're scared either cause it'll make it worse, tell yourself that you're calm and will be okay.

Everyone is here to help you okay?

I’m feeling a bit better. I’m still thinking about my breathing.... or like I’m not getting air.🙁

Good girl...the less you concentrate on your breathing the better it will be. The muscles of your diaphragm are extremely tight which makes you feel as if you can't get enough air. I find that taking short slow little breaths (not forcing it) will allow the muscles to relax and you will eventually feel the urge to take that deep breath. Bring your shoulders down, relax your body, have something warm to drink to relax your inner muscles. Tell yourself that you are okay, you are safe. Your body will take care of your breathing by itself. That's why it's called the autonomic nervous system. Relaxxx and breathe slowly..It's okay..your body won't let you down. You are safe, you are calm, you can breathe just fine. Feel at peace xx

Thank you soo much for your kind words... it means so much. I’m glad you all understand and I don’t feel as alone. It just sucks. The feeling sucks. Feeling weird sucks..

You are never alone in what you feel. I know the feeling is weird but knowing it is not harmful hopefully will help you relax. I always go to YouTube when feeling like this and find that putting a hot bath towel right out of the dryer, around my shoulders and back, will help me relax while I sit in a comfortable chair, small pillow behind your lower back and listen to

"Sympathetic Breathing Meditation" by the Quiet Mind Café. Beautiful calming video.

Feel the peace, feel the calm xx
