I ADMIT I HAVE ANXIETY, AND I'M ASHAMED OF IT
Yes, I would love to see a specialist but it comes with cost weekly, and currently state right now, I don't have any additional funds to support that. But I do want to learn how to develop ways of treating or learning to deal with anxiety itself naturally without any medication. I don't want to become dependent on medication. I want to understand the root of the anxiety attacks. I would like to learn what is the break downs of why or what causes us to react or think like that in the first place.
Thank you so much for your inputs and consideration in helping me understand what I'm going through. I hope you also are getting what you are searching for on here. I hope all goes well.
This might help..
Someone else posted this earlier in the week. I've listened to half of it.
I'm trying to go the route without meds and paying for therapy as well.
Wishing you well and peace!
Look up AnxietyNoMore.co.uk on the Internet which explains how to overcome anxiety naturally. The teachings/principles are the same as those published by the late, great Dr Claire Weekes who was a pioneer in this field with her self help books. I bought Essential Help for your Nerves (the book may also go under a different title) which I, and countless others, consider to be the bible for recovering from anxiety and other stress/fear related conditions. The knowledge you gain provides the foundations to begin your recovery which is about facing your fears (not running away, avoiding), accepting all the symptoms of anxiety passively (feeling the symptoms without resistance and not adding second fear - it’s explained in the book and also repeated by me in previous posts on this website and based on my personal experience during recovery), floating past the symptoms (carrying on with your day/life as if you didn’t have anxiety or in spite of how you feel) and letting time pass (your nerves have become sensitised through continuous worry or stress and need time to recover).
At first, I didn’t think I related to the information in the book but the more I read it, the more I understood. I then found the website mentioned at the beginning which filled in the gaps. It has a blog with tons of practical posts from those who have recovered and those on the road to recovery. I learnt an awful lot reading the posts which made acceptance of the symptoms easier. You will learn that acceptance is the cornerstone to recovery because it all anxiety related disorders are rooted in fear and once fear is dispelled, the symptoms subside and recovery follows. Once you know how to recover the right way by following the teachings and going through this process (I’m afraid you can’t cheat!), it’s a skill you will never forget.
