Hi - I found a good article on the Psychology Today website called, "Why Self-Care is Hard for Depressed Individuals." Self care is getting enough sleep, eating, etc. The problem is in the frontal lobe of the brain responsible for executive functioning. When Dysfunction occurs in the frontal lobes, these skills can be impaired; reasoning, judgement, attention, recall and a whole list of others.

I agree, yes please. I'm not good at self care. Then a cycle occurs, lack of self care)neglect, then low mood, then more lack of self care etc.

The website is Psychology Today. 'There is a box on the right that says "most popular" , there is a list of articles and it's under there.

I have heard that also bout e functioning. Like do not make a major decision when upset. Calm down, count to ten ( at least), meditate etc. ). Hey, there are some decisions- well let's say I can relate. And diet, and exercise and spending time outdoors can really make a difference as well as seeing people you like. I would also like to see a link if you have it.
