Vacation ending with an anxiety attack in the airport

I went home for a family reunion last week and had a good time, my common law husband came with. On the day that we were leaving, at the airport the airplane was having mechanical problems and eventually we were going to miss our connecting flight. As we were getting to the desk to find out what the airlines was going to do for us I had a huge anxiety attack and couldn't get it under control. My husband was of no comfort to me and didn't even try to touch me to comfort me. We ended up being put up in a hotel and had to get on a very early flight the next day, my 52nd birthday. I didn't want to be on an airplane for half of my birthday and to top it off he didn't even with me a happy birthday. I woke up this morning thinking about cutting my wrist and ending because the depression is so bad right now. He hasn't even tried to comfort me at all and even got angry at me over dinner. He won't listen to me about how I feel and won't even talk to a professional about how to help me get through this. I am at my wits end.

Focus on YOU doing everything you can to get a better handle on your situation...With no disrespect to your relationship, he may not understand the severity of your condition, which is why his response or lack there of is not as supportive as you feel it/he should be. As you continue to work on you, communicate your progress with him and maybe then he will begin to understand and be more supportive.
