How do you deal with an anxiety attack??

Hello.I think is answer is how do we not? We are all so different, and have all kinds of ways to cope. So, you may have opened Pandora's box. I don't have anxiety attacks, I have anxiety hours.

A panic attack lasts ten minutes. I have anxiety hour(s) where I need to spend the energy that anxiety needs to continue. I sometimes walk as fast as I can, sometimes focus on housework and do one thing only 15 minutes at a time. Sometimes call everyone in my phone directory for 5-10 minutes each, I remind myself it will pass, sometimes try deep breathing, sometimes pray my rosary, sometimes sit in a rocking chair and read posts on this venue, sometimes write in a diary, sometimes call the crisis line if it is the middle of the night if I just need to hear a human voice. I don't drive, I don't drink, I don't write a post that "I don't want live."

Mine usually happen at night so I can't do much but deep breathing, leaving the room I'm in when it started, watching YouTube videos (asmr videos work wonders for me) Sometimes I can't get myself out of it and I just have to wait for the panic to stop.
