Hello, you are not alone. I have to take my finals this whole week, so I am going through it right. I toss n turn, my heart start racing, & worry to much. How do u manage your situation? I know it's not easy.

Well my anxiety is so bad I really have no option sometimes but to cry my eyes out. But for the most part as long as I keep my mind occupied I don't have enough time to think or anything so that helps me a lot. I know finals are a big deal but relax even if you fail you have to remember you're not alone! It won't be the end of the world even though it may feel like it is. If you want to sleep I think you should take some Benadryl it'll make you drowsy I even take it sometimes to knock myself out. In fact I'm about to take it now πŸ˜‚

These meds will damage your liver. I suffered from anxiety too, tingling in my hands, racing heart. I would sleep at 2 sometimes 3 and again wake up at 6 and go to work. Later found I had hypothyroid. It has healed itself. But get your thyroid checked.

I just got some blood taken today! And I don't take Benadryl often only when I really have trouble sleeping. Yes! I also fall asleep around 2 or 3 but the problem is a have a baby that was born just five months ago! Did your doctor check specifically for thyroid?

No it was a blood panel test. They check for TSH thyroid stimulating hormone- which when fluctuates, it can seriously mess you up.

Wow well he told me he would check for thyroid and diabetes and all these things but he told me that he didn't think it was related to any of that. Was there anything you did to help heal your thyroid?

I ate dried Japanese seaweed .. it healed it.

Wow that sounds hard to find. Is there anything I should stay away from if I don't want it to get worse just in case!

Seaweed are in Costco stores

Any meds you take regularly will damage your liver by age 50. There is no going back when liver is damaged. So pop pills only when you can't bare the pain. Keep them as last alternative

I'm trying so hard I really am! I take Iron every day once a day Zoloft once a day and vistaril twice a day. My anxiety gets so bad I shake and I literally feel like I want to rip off my skin.

They asked me to take meds but I said no. Meds will suppress it and they will keep on increasing the dose. I healed it naturally.

I practiced meditation when I felt anxiety was kicking in. Sometimes heart would race so bad that I had to stop meditation. But I practiced again and again for months. It's all under control now

Wow. I wanna congratulate you that's really a big accomplishment! You literally just motivated and inspired me to work harder. There is hope! I'm definitelygoing to try to apply meditation into my day!

It's not easy but meditation has cured my anxiety.

Meds just suppress depression and anxiety until you become fully dependant on them & then your body is addicted to meds. Sometimes it's important to listen to body signs and signals. It's trying to tell you what's wrong with it. When you suppress these signs with meds - then you are no longer tuned in to what is wrong.

Meds are surely important for critical diseases and certain conditions. But depression and anxiety sure does have other alternatives

Kitty,

Can you talk about your meditation routine? I watch videos and listen to calm.com or podcasts. I’d like to create a routine that I can stick with and that works. What have u been doing?

Thanks,

Jeneen

Have you talked to a Therapist? Many women have Postpartum depression. It's very common. Also, if you drink a lot of water, you could be low on Magnesium. You can get it at a health food store or online at Amazon, it's called Calm.

Yes I have a therapist I see him every week. I do not have postpartum depression I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression a couple months after my baby was born my OB said that at that point it was not post partum it was depression. I just got some blood work done yesterday they said something about hemoglobin.

I'm tingling all over all the time since I'm dealing with this Dp/dr and it's scary as hell so it gives me massive anxiety. I sniff Lavender Essential oil so calm me down. And I also turn my aremo therapy on with the same oil.

Thank god someone else with the same symptoms! What other symptoms do you get? And I never thought of doing aroma therapy I definitely have to try it! What do you use for the aroma therapy?

HopingCat profile image
HopingCat in reply to levymaria

With this stupid depersonalization/ derealization my symptoms are more mental. Feeling like everything is a dream or fake. Obsessing thoughts about life and existence, questioning my surroundings, and people. Then when these scare the crap out of me I get panic attacks. Tingling all over, shaking, heart racing, tunnel vision and so on. For the aroma therapy I use a diffuser and 100 percent Lavender essential oil.

Trust me I know exactly what youre talking about I get all of that and some more stuff! Ear ringing, no appetite, cold chills and hot flashes you name it I got it! Lol but okay I'm definitely going to go to Walmart and see if I can find one at a decent price so I can start sniffing that good stuff! LolπŸ˜‚

Lol! It usually says to add 5 drops to the water but add like 10. We need way more than 5. Did you also struggle with Dp/dr? What helped you come out the hell and snap back to reality? I'm stuck

levymaria profile image
levymaria in reply to HopingCat

Yes at the beginning and sometimes I still feel like my life is not my life.. if that makes any sense. I was so numb to everything my daughter my boyfriend I just felt like I couldn't even feel anything anymore I felt like I had no emotion other than anxiety and sometimes not even that. I felt like a zombie. I started trying to do more activities and just try to keep myself involved with everything around me. I know you're going to feel like it's all a dream but just try to keep incorporating your everyday routines and do some new things. Draw, write, read anything that you can focus on!

I been trying for 3 months to come back to reality and nothing. I must not be doing something right. It sucks

levymaria profile image
levymaria in reply to HopingCat

Nooo! Don't say that! It's okay! This stuff doesn't happen overnight, just stay positive you can push through I know sometimes it feels like there is no hope I know I was feeling like that earlier today but when you give things time and you continueto apply yourself eventually it will pay off! Do anything to keep you busy as much as possible! The less time you have to think about anything the better!

1st off I am so sorry that you are going through this Maybe if you have somebody that you would consider a safe person contact him or her, and if not it's fine.control your breathing so that you are not breathing 2 what is the point of hyperventilation which is very easy to do is here said than done i know also this may sound ridiculous but putting your legs up elevated on the wall with your arms up for about 5 minutes and relax your breathing helps a lot I have been going through Panic and anxiety attack now for 14 to 15 years and it's horrible but there are many of us out here that understand you and are more than happy to give any advice everything my friend will feel much better soon just be sure you get to see your doctor if it starts happening more frequently.
