Suffering ptsd from abusive relationship glad it is over but need to heal.

why did i stay so long? Because he was abusing his kid and i felt i needed

to be there for the boy. the boy is now 18 so he will have to figure it out because

i can't take any more.

Hello. Been there, done that ,right down to staying to protect his son until he was able to be on his own. Yes take the time now to work through this, or it will pop out in the future on you.

If you're close to any towns, cities, or metro areas, then consider a women's shelter.
