Back on meds

So I just got on this medication citalopram,I've taken it before a few years back with no side effects,now I am back on it and I am having all types of side effects and it's making me not want to take it anymore but I know in the past it has really helped me,I just don't know what to do.

This happened to me too. I had taken a medication for years and then weaned off and was symptom free for a couple months. When symptoms returned I went back on the same dose and it didn't work. I had to try so many combinations of meds to get it right.

I think your brain changes and what worked before sometimes doesn't work any more. I would tell your dr about the side effects and figure out if the benefit outweighs the effects.

Same here I used citolpram previously with no effects this time around I had terrible stomach and horrible lump in the throat. I felt worse on them and came off after month. Now I have choose older medication named imipramine which I had no side effects with.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I'm really not sure what causes it to happen but you definitely aren't the only person with this problem. Go to your doctor and tell them what is going on. They should be able to find something that works for you. Stay strong and best wishes!
