Started Celexa side effects anyone??

I'm on day 6 of celexa..I feel nausea, diarrhea, weak,spaced out, did I mention exhausted. ..is this normal starting a new anxiety med? I'm on 10mg

Side effects of Celexa include but aren't limited to: sleepiness or unusual drowsiness

, nausea, insomnia, diarrhea, anxiety, decrease in sexual desire or ability

Your side effects are expected but should decrease as the days and weeks go by. Please allow 4-6 weeks on the drug to give it a fair try if possible. Celexa is an antidepressant as well as being helpful for anxiety. Depression and anxiety often occur together. Best wishes for your good health.

I agree, it's s great drug for most people. I am one of them! Lexapro made me hungry, really hindered weight loss efforts. Hang in there. I think you will feel better soon. 😄

Thank yall. I am going to stick to it. Aside from all the nasty effects my anxiety IS GONE. I have not had 1 panic attack, know racing thoughts, just calm...
