anyone have any luck finding a therapist or counseling for low income person? I know my medication alone wont be enough as I am on my 2nd kind of antidepressant. I think it would help talking in person with a therapist and its advised that I do by my dr. I just don't know where to begin.

Hi,
Where do you live? As this community covers different countries, it's hard to know what info would be useful.
Cheers, Catherine.
I would recommend looking into what your county provides first and then federal clinics (findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/). Additionally, some universities provide free or reduced-cost counseling through their clinics which are a training ground for their students who are heavily supervised and mentored by experienced therapists. You can also look for the term "sliding scale" when looking at local therapists.
Wherever you live there should be a county,or state or community center, most of your hospital's have clinic's in them that you pay on a sliding scale, your Dr.should be able to tell you but I'm very sure one of the hospital s can give you the number to the clinic.your local DEFACTS office can tell you.and I'm pretty sure the 211 service is everywhere.oh your phone book,up front can tell u I hope you can get help from some of these.
Hi Loubou, did you try 211 as gamema suggested?
What's 211?
